You Can Put The Blame On Me

Fuschia Tee - Wet Seal ($3)
Gold Skinny Belt -Forever 21 ($3)
Rose Gold Menswear Watch - Asos ($13!)
Checked Pencil Skirt - South Street Thrift ($3?)
Gold Embellished Ballet Flats - Charlotte Russe($5)

My summer has officially ended. After nearly a month of vacation, I got back to work today. Crazy how fast it comes and goes, huh? Whatever the case, I still stayed in a summer state of mind with my bright pink tee I wore. I thought it played off my prim, checked pencil skirt quite nicely. Random fact: my 5-year old nephew took this photo. He was super excited about starting kindergarten next week and couldn't stop talking to me, so I figured I'd put him to work.

I know I promised a full post on my trip to Hawaii, but I have just been too lazy to do any such thing. I haven't completely given up just yet, but in the meantime, I will share a few more tidbits. Not sure how many of you have been to Kauai, but it's a pretty small island. Only about 30 miles across. So 17 days was more than enough time to fully explore the whole island at an enjoyable, leisurely pace.

Most every day we went to some new beach and swam or snorkeled. Then in the afternoon we'd shop at some local places, hit the grocery store, and have a cozy dinner at home with our friends.
It was definitely the most relaxing vacation I've had in ages. Driving up and down the coast, there were always plenty of picturesque lookouts to stop at and take pictures.

And while I can't necessarily say it was worth the $5 entrance fee, the view from the bird sanctuary at the Kilauea Lighthouse was pretty amazing.

And when I (amazingly enough) got tired of the sun, sand and ocean, I'd just lounge around the house in my pajamas. No judgement!

In case, you're interested, in the above photo I am actually wearing a sweatshirt romper that I picked up at Sears a few months ago for $6. I know not everyone is a romper fan, but this one is probably the most comfortable piece of clothing I own. I pretty much lived in it whenever I was at the house in Kauai. The best $6 I've spent in ages. So there's another taste of my Hawaii trip. Hopefully there will be more to come :)
